Snap-on Acquires Ecotechnics

The acquisition will further expand Snap-on’s offering of productivity solutions for repair shop owners and managers.

Snap-on - LogoSnap-on has acquired the assets of Ecotechnics S.p.A. for approximately $13 million in cash.

Based in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, Ecotechnics designs and manufactures automatic vehicle air conditioning maintenance equipment for OEM dealerships and the automotive aftermarket worldwide. The company had 2014 sales of approximately €12.4 million, or $13.6 million USD.

Ecotechnics will become part of the Snap-on’s Repair Systems & Information Group.
