Sachs Introduces Two New Dual-Mass Flywheel Conversion Clutch Kits

New dual-mass conversion kits offer low-cost, high-quality replacement alternative, company says.

VERNON HILLS, Ill. – ZF Services LLC, the strategic aftermarket business unit of ZF Friedrichshafen AG in North America announces the introduction of two new dual-mass flywheel conversion clutch kits. The two new kits were added to the current line, which offers more than 40 different applications.

Unlike solid flywheels, dual-mass flywheels cannot be resurfaced during an aftermarket clutch installation, escalating the total cost associated with clutch replacement. These solid flywheel conversion clutch kits offer a low-cost, high-quality alternative for customers needing to replace the dual-mass flywheel clutch system, ZF says.

The new part numbers fit the following popular applications:
– K70638-02F fits 2011-2005 Volkswagen Beetle, Golf, Jetta and Rabbit with VIO of 166,000
– K70771-01F fits 2005-1997 Audi A4 and AF Quattro & Volkswagen Passat with VIO of 98,500

Both kits offer excellent performance at a greatly reduced cost, when compared to a full dual mass flywheel clutch system replacement, according to ZF. All key components are included in the kits, so there is no need to source additional parts. Sachs uses a specially designed clutch disc that reduces torsional vibrations and supports smooth power transmission.
