Henniges Automotive, AD Plastik Sign Strategic Alliance

According to Henniges, the new partnership will enable the company to support and grow its global business platform for a key customer in the region with the development and manufacturing of extrusion seals.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Henniges Automotive Holdings, a supplier of highly engineered sealing and anti-vibration systems for the global automotive market, has signed a strategic alliance with Croatia-based supplier AD Plastik Inc., at its Togliatti, Russia, facility in order to support an American key customer.

According to Henniges, the new partnership will enable the company to support and grow its global business platform for a key customer in the region with the development and manufacturing of extrusion seals. With locations throughout Eastern Europe, the AD Plastik facility in Russia serves as a major component in assisting with the production of dynamic seals and allows for material preparation, control and final operations and molding. AD Plastik has 30 years of experience in the manufacturing of automotive components beginning in the early stage of product development to help ensure successful product design, development and validation.

"We have significant expertise in global product adaptation from the start of design and through critical launch, and through this industrial partnership with AD Plastik, we further enhance our capabilities to support vehicle platforms around the globe," said Doug DelGrosso, Henniges president and CEO. "Our global footprint is expanding through a series of strategic growth moves, ensuring continuous advancement in our technologies and solutions that support our customers’ needs."

Since November 2013, Henniges Automotive has signed strategic alliances with Amee Rubber Industries in India and Burkool in Argentina, leveraging the long-established relationships and capabilities of these partners with Henniges technical knowledge and expertise in global product adaptation sealing solutions. Additionally, the company recently announced sole ownership of its previous joint venture with the China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), Wanyuan-Henniges, in China.
