Firestone Industrial Products Facility Achieves ISO/TS 16949 Certification

Dyersburg, Tenn., plant certification recognizes quality management systems.

INDIANAPOLIS – Firestone Industrial Products‘ Dyersburg, Tenn., manufacturing facility has earned ISO/TS 16949 Certification. ISO/TS 16949 is a technical specification created by the International Automotive Task Force to align quality system standards for automotive products worldwide.
 
The Dyersburg facility produces metal components and assembles air springs. The TS Certification recognizes the quality management systems that have provided continuous improvement in this facility.
 
"For more than 75 years, Firestone Industrial Products has been committed to providing the highest quality products to our customers by putting processes, systems and programs in place to ensure our business operates smoothly and efficiently," said Mike Kroeger, plant manager of the Dyersburg facility. "We are thrilled with the acknowledgement and recognition that the TS Certification brings, and appreciate the hard work of our teammates and leadership in earning this important internationally recognized standard."
 
The Dyersburg manufacturing plant is the fifth Firestone Industrial Products facility to earn TS Certification. The company plants in Williamsburg, Ky.; Wolsztyn, Poland; Madurai, India; and Sao Paulo, Brazil, also have achieved the international certification.
