GM Honors Dana As A 2012 Supplier Of The Year In Ecuador

The GM Ecuador Supplier Awards recognize the work of domestic and foreign suppliers for their contributions to industrial development based on the four basic principles of the value chain: quality, service, technology and competitiveness.

MAUMEE, Ohio – Dana Holding Corp. has been named a 2012 Supplier of the Year by General Motors (GM), in recognition of its operations that support GM’s production in Ecuador. GM Ecuador also named Dana as the best supplier of direct material in the chassis category.
 
The GM Ecuador Supplier Awards recognize the work of domestic and foreign suppliers for their contributions to industrial development based on the four basic principles of the value chain: quality, service, technology and competitiveness.
 
From its operation in Colombia, Dana supplies GM Ecuador with complete rear dressed axle modules and front and rear driveshafts for multiple platforms.
 
"Dana has served General Motors in the Ancom Region of South America for nearly 40 years, providing it with high-quality system solutions designed for maximized efficiency," said Mark Wallace, president of Dana Light Vehicle Driveline Technologies. "This recognition is a reflection of our strong commitment to manufacturing and engineering, emphasis on quality, and service to our customers."
 
This year, Dana will open a new manufacturing operation in Ecuador to expand Dana’s reach and footprint in the region. The facility will produce driveline sets for one of General Motors’ new global programs and provide long-term sourcing options and flexibility for future programs.
