SYLVANIA Automotive Signs On For Hot Import Nights 2013 Season

Series sponsorship includes $2,500 prize for Hottest Lighting and SilverStar zXe Headlights Lighting Zone at every event.

HILLSBORO, N.H. – Building on the success of their partnership in 2012, SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting announced the company has signed on as the presenting sponsor of all 2013 domestic Hot Import Nights (HIN) events. HIN is one of the nation’s largest and most prestigious showcases of aftermarket vehicle accessories and modifications for import, sport compact and exotic car enthusiasts.

SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting’s sponsorship of the 2013 HIN series started with the first event on March 23 in Fontana, Calif. Along with being the presenting sponsor, SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting will again conduct the Hottest Lighting Contest at each HIN event, giving participants a chance to win $2,500 for showing off their vehicles’ unique lighting modifications. The popular competition, which features the highest on-site cash award given at each event, is open to anyone with a vehicle on display at each HIN tour stop.

New to this year’s HIN series will be the SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe Lighting Zone, where vehicles with cool and creative lighting will be spotlighted on the show floor at each event.

“We are very pleased that we will have a much bigger presence at Hot Import Nights events in 2013. It’s a great opportunity for us to spend time with these talented enthusiasts, who love lighting as much as we do,” said Joe Verbanic, marketing manager, SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting. “These events offer the perfect environment not only for us to get feedback on our lighting products and technology, but also find out what else tuners are looking for as they continue to use lighting in new and creative ways.”

Knowing the attention to detail that performance enthusiasts have when it comes to lighting, SYLVANIA introduced its SilverStar zXe headlights, the whitest color temperature product in the SYLVANIA SilverStar High Performance Series lineup. For additional customization options, SYLVANIA Automotive Lighting introduced the LEDriving line of LED products, which includes daytime running light kits and retrofit light sources for dome, map and license plate applications.

“Hot Import Nights is excited to see SYLVANIA launch new products that specifically cater to automotive lighting and style,” said Mike Munar, co-founder and CEO of Hot Import Nights. “HIN events are set in a nighttime atmosphere where specialized lighting effects, along with the glow of the vehicles, create a unique visual environment. With SYLVANIA SilverStar zXe stepping up to be presenting sponsor of HIN this year, they will provide a tremendous amount of support for the automotive aftermarket scene!”

The 2013 HIN tour stops in Orlando, Fla., on May 19; Santa Clara, Calif., on June 15; Anaheim, Calif., on July 13; Seattle, Wash., on July 27; Houston, Texas, on August 31; Phoenix, Ariz., on Sept. 19; Fontana, Calif., on Oct. 19; Honolulu, Hawaii, on Dec. 7; and Miami, Fla., on Dec. 14; with additional dates to be determined.
