APRA March 2013 European Workshop Will Include Plant Visits Focusing On Electronics, Mechatronics And Transmissions

The workshop will take place March 13-14 in Almelo, Netherlands.

CHANTILLY, Va. – The Automotive Parts Remanfaucturers Association’s (APRA) upcoming European Workshop will give attendees new insights into, and ideas to cope with, future industry changes in remanufacturing technologies. The workshop will take place March 13-14 in Almelo, Netherlands. Along with presentations from top speakers in the industry, the event includes two plant visits to ACTronics and Ganzeboom Transmissions, both based in Almelo.
 
The list of speakers and topics for the event includes:
 
·      Alexander Nagel from the University of Bayreuth will be speaking about the use of remanufactured parts for future service processes;
 
·      Prof. Carsten Bücker and Clemens Ortgies from BU Drive Group will moderate a discussion about new technologies in industrial engine controls and their impact on remanufacturing;
 
·      Leon Kleine Staarman from ACTronics will share his insight into remanufacturing electronics & mechatronics;
 
·      Dr. William Henney will report on remanufacturing transmissions with embedded mechatronics, and Michel Ganzeboom will show how transmissions are remanufactured;
 
·      Fernand Weiland and Peter Bartel from APRA will discuss general information about the remanufacturing market and the reliability, safety and quality of remanufactured parts; and
 
·      Niels Klarenbeck of ReMaTec will update the audience with regard to the upcoming ReMaTec Show in June 16-18.
 
Along with the technical insights gathered from both the plant tours and presentations, participants will be able to take advantage of numerous networking opportunities during the workshop breaks, traveling to the plant tours and during the conference dinner on March 13.
