Technical Chemical Co. To Acquire Blue Magic

TCC says the acquisition bolsters its product range and gives the company entry into new market channels.

CLEBURNE, Texas – Technical Chemical Co. (TCC) announced yesterday at AAPEX that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Blue Magic Inc.

Technical Chemical Co. is a leading packager and marketer of automotive chemicals under the Johnsen’s label. Blue Magic markets popular appearance products such as Pure Citrus and Blue Magic, as well as maintenance products like QuikSteel, Seal Up and Turbo 108. TCC says the acquisition bolsters its product range and gives the company entry into new market channels.

“We are attracted to the strong brand position of the Blue Magic products,” said Scott Dudley, president of Technical Chemical Co. “Customers of both companies will benefit from shipments and a wider product selection.”

Dudley added, “The Blue Magic acquisition is part of Technical Chemical’s long-term growth strategy. We have a solid company and Blue Magic is a great complement.”
