TRICO Earns Advertising Recognition for TV Spots

TRICO won two bronze "Tellys" for its 15- and 30-second commercials at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards, as well as Best in Show at the Advertising Club of Buffalo's 2012 ADDY awards ceremony.

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. – TRICO has won two bronze “Tellys” for its 15- and 30-second commercials at the 33rd Annual Telly Awards.

TRICO competed internationally with more than 13,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents. The Telly Awards and the Silver Telly Council honor excellence in local, regional and cable TV commercials and programs as well as online and non-broadcast videos.

TRICO said it also won Best of Show as well as a number of gold and silver awards at the Advertising Club of Buffalo’s 2012 ADDY awards ceremony. The brand’s TV spot took top honors at this regional competition among hundreds of submitted entries for both print and broadcast advertising material.

“We are proud of the strong brand representation conveyed by this spot,” said Kevin O’Dowd, global director of marketing, corporate branding and strategy. “It effectively communicates the superior difference TRICO wiper blades can make in any driving condition.”

The ad puts TRICO blades to the test at “the moment of truth,” just as a driver relies on the wipers to perform when needed most for safe driving during an unexpected weather situation. Currently airing on primary networks and major television programs such as NHL Hockey, Major League Baseball and “American Idol,” the commercial can also be viewed on tricoproducts.com/trade by clicking “see how.”
