2006 CABA Snow Show Details Set

“Locally-owned service centers will find more opportunities this year than ever to make money and save money at the 2006 CABA Snow Show,” said CABA Show Committee Chairman, Ralph Schissler of Atlantic Tire in Baltimore. At their recent August meeting, the CABA Show Committee set plans to expand the range of trade show features for the Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 afternoon and evening aftermarket-only event.

PASADENA, MD — “Locally-owned service centers will find more opportunities this year than ever to make money and save money at the 2006 CABA Snow Show,” said CABA Show Committee Chairman, Ralph Schissler of Atlantic Tire in Baltimore. At their recent August meeting, the CABA Show Committee set plans to expand the range of trade show features for the Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 afternoon and evening aftermarket-only event.

Two educational sessions have been added to the Feb. 7 schedule. A 90-minute shop management session will precede the opening of the show floor with a one-hour technical skills session embedded at 7 p.m. during show hours. Specifics on these educational topics will be announced in the Nov. 1 mailing of the show’s attendee promotion.

“Get Connected” is the theme of the 2006 CABA Snow Show. CABA Executive Director, Skip Potter, points out that “for most of our CABA-area small business shop owners the CABA Snow Show is their best opportunity to get connected to the greater aftermarket they live in. No other aftermarket business event comes as close to them as this one.”

Technology is a particular focus for the “get connected” theme this year. Certainly, the show will serve its traditional role of connecting buyers and sellers for shop equipment, tires and aftermarket service products. But the 2006 CABA Snow Show will provide vendors and consultants that will assist in the evaluation of implementing technologies like Internet connectivity, Internet marketing, Internet resources, local area networks, shop management systems, parts ordering options and much more.

While the 2006 CABA Snow Show means “business” it will not be without its fun and prizes. Dover International Speedway returns with their Tire Changing Contest and more NASCAR event ticket prizes. Potter reminds that 24 attendees won more than $5,200 in prizes at the 2005 Show and he expects to break that record again this year.

The 2006 CABA Snow Show will begin Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2006 with the shop management education session at 1:30 p.m. followed by show hours of 3 to 9 p.m. The technical education session will be 7 to 8 p.m.

Exhibit space is still available and interested jobbers, wholesalers, equipment suppliers, manufacturer’s representatives, tire manufacturers, parts suppliers, business product and service vendors are encouraged to contact Sally Ernst at CABA ([email protected]) as soon as possible for the best rates and space.
