Visteon Fund Contributes $200,000 to Michigan Science Center

The donation spread out over four years underscores Visteon's support for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education.

Visteon-LogoVisteon Corp. has announced it will contribute $200,000 over four years to the Michigan Science Center (MiSci), a science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM)-focused museum in Detroit, through the Visteon Fund. The donation, to be made in $50,000 installments starting this year, underscores the global automotive supplier’s commitment to igniting an interest in STEM education among children.

MiSci will put the Visteon Fund donation toward its many engaging activities, community outreach programs and traveling exhibits. MiSci offers an interactive approach to science, with hands-on exhibits, live shows, theaters and more.

“This is part of our ongoing effort to invest in the next generation of scientists, engineers and innovators, and enhance the communities where we do business,” said Tim Leuliette, Visteon president and CEO. “The Michigan Science Center plays a key role in inspiring curious minds of all ages to discover, explore and appreciate science, technology, engineering and math. As an innovative company based in southeast Michigan, Visteon is pleased to be a partner in the growth of this important Detroit-based institution.”
