AASP/NJ Announces First-Ever ‘NORTHEAST Exhibitor Boot Camp’ Seminar
The Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of New Jersey recently announced that, in preparation for the 2012 installment of their flagship event, the association will be offering a special “NORTHEAST Exhibitor Boot Camp” training session on Jan. 12 to help this year’s exhibitors get the most out of their booth investment.
AASP/NJ Member Named NAPA/ASE Technician of the Year
NAPA Auto Parts and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) have named Alliance of Automotive Service Providers/New Jersey (AASP/NJ) member Jeff Walker as the 2005 NAPA/ASE Technician of the Year. Presented annually by NAPA and ASE, the award is given to a technician who exemplifies excellence and achievement in the industry. This winner is selected by a panel that includes former winners, automotive trade media and ASE headquarters.

New Jersey Auto Industry Legend Lee Vetland Passes Away
Vetland owned Lee’s Auto Body and Pine Top Service in Avenel, New Jersey, and was the co-owner of the Colonia Country Club (the site of AASP/NJ’s annual Golf Outing) in Colonia. In addition to his long history with AASP/NJ, he was a founder and board member of Auto Body Distributing Co. and served as president of the Garden State Automotive Federation, one of the groups that merged to form AASP/NJ nearly 20 years ago.
