HOUSTON, TEXAS — Quaker State has launched a new line of highly engineered motor oils designed to provide today’s modern engines with maximum performance and power. A high-performance product for the automotive enthusiast, the new line, called “Q,” offers advanced technology and a ground-breaking formulation to provide better protection and less friction as engine load and oil temperatures increase.
The entire Q line of synthetic and synthetic blend motor oils features a new heat-activated technology engineered to reduce friction and maximize power. As temperatures increase, proprietary heat-activated molecules are activated to create a low-friction, ultra-heat resistant lubrication film. Under heavy loads or high rpm conditions, this protective layer helps control power-robbing friction, prevent oil shearing and resist thermal and viscosity breakdown. The heat activated performance of the additives in Q reduces friction at high temperatures (>293 F degrees) better than motor oils meeting today’s ILSAC and API standards, according to the company.
Quaker State’s Q line will include six new motor oils: 4×4 and SUV synthetic blend; high RPM synthetic blend; advanced engine full synthetic; and three specific racing oils. The new line of motor oils will be available at installer and retailer locations starting this month. The company plans to support the launch with a nationwide marketing campaign, including advertising, consumer and installer promotions, direct mail, trade shows, point-of-purchase materials and public relations.
