Federal-Mogul’s Wagner Brake Brand Introduces Advanced Line of Ceramic Brake Pads

Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramic pads offer full OE ceramic coverage as well as alternative coverage for many semi-metallic applications.

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. — Federal-Mogul has introduced Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic brake pads, a comprehensive and advanced line of replacement ceramic pads for millions of vehicles that were factory-equipped with ceramic technology, as well as applications originally using semi-metallic pads.

Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic brake pads combine the exclusive features and benefits of Federal-Mogul’s award-winning ThermoQuiet technology, including a patented Integrally Molded Insulator (IMI) that provides maximum noise damping and exceptional heat dissipation for powerful, quiet braking. ThermoQuiet Ceramic pads also incorporate the company’s highly advanced Wagner EDGE Laser-Shaped Friction technology, which features custom-shaped friction material that matches each vehicle’s unique caliper-pad-disc interface for reduced vibration and virtually silent braking.

Federal-Mogul’s global network of friction technology centers – which work hand-in-hand with OE engineers and vehicle manufacturers – have developed proprietary, application-specific ThermoQuiet ceramic formulations that the company says help significantly reduce dust and deliver superior braking performance on today’s vehicles.

“Wagner ThermoQuiet Ceramic pads deliver an ideal blend of industry leading technologies and comprehensive, first-to-market coverage to help repair shops capture more service opportunities and develop stronger customer relationships,” said Ken Selinger, North American friction products, Federal-Mogul.

In addition to the availability of premium direct OE replacement ceramic pads, the new product line includes ceramic alternatives for semi-metallic applications.
