Donaldson Announces Winners Of Its 12th Annual Inventor Awards

Annual awards recognize employees who contribute to Donaldson success.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Donaldson Company Inc., a global manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has announced the winners of the company’s 12th Annual Inventor Awards, given to employees whose work on various technology innovations have contributed to Donaldson’s continued success as a leader in filtration technology.
 
Richard M. Negri Manufacturing Excellence Award
The Richard M. Negri Manufacturing Excellence Award is given to Donaldson employees who have created and implemented significant process technology and/or product improvements for the Company’s manufacturing operations.
Winner:
Rodney Switzer, Manufacturing Engineer, based in Nicholasville, Ky.
 
Technology Achievement Award
The Technology Achievement Award is given to an employee who has developed a material, product, process or method that has made an extraordinary contribution to Donaldson’s long-term success.

Patrick McPhail, Hydraulic Filtration, product manager, based in Bloomington, Minn.;
Linda Wolhowe, Engine Liquid Aftermarket Filtration, senior engineer, based in Bloomington, Minn.;
Veli Kalayci, Engine Liquid Filtration, product manager, based in Bloomington, Minn.;
Enrico Greco, Engine Liquid Filtration, engineering manager, based in Ostiglia, Italy;
Daniel Frembgen, Engine Liquid Filtration, application engineer, based in Bloomington, Minn.; and
Mauro Cantoni, Engine Liquid Filtration, application and development engineer based in Ostiglia, Italy

Emerging Innovator Award
The Emerging Innovator Award recognizes innovative technical leadership from those with fewer than 10 years of experience at Donaldson.
Winner:
Suresh Shenoy, Corporate Technology, senior principal scientist, based in Bloomington, Minn.
 
Technology Champion Award
The Technology Champion Award recognizes an individual who advances a technology or process against popular opinion.
Winner:
Brian Mandt, Engine Liquid Filtration, aftermarket applications engineering manager, based in Bloomington, Minn.
 
"Our product engineering, technology and operations staffs around the world have been instrumental in continually developing the new filtration technologies that meet our customers’ evolving needs," said Bill Cook, Donaldson’s CEO. "Their hard work, dedication and superior results are essential for our continued success and the achievement of our company’s sales goals of $3 billion and $5 billion in FY16 and FY21, respectively. These awards are an important way for our company to recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to maintaining our filtration technology leadership position.
