TORONTO, ONTARIO – One of Canada’s top synthetic motor oils now has a new name. Castrol Syntec in Canada has been rebranded as EDGE with Syntec Power Technology (SPT).

In Canada, Castrol is the top-selling motor oil brand, according to market data from Ipsos Reid. It was first introduced to the Canadian market two decades ago.

The EDGE family now offers two formulations in its range:

EDGE with Syntec Power Technology (SPT) in the black bottle is the company’s premium synthetic oil that unlocks superior performance and power.

EDGE with Titanium Fluid Strength Technology in the gold bottle is the ultra-premium formulation offering a further level of performance for drivers who demand performance in extremes or simply want the finest lubricant available that meets the world’s toughest gasoline engine protection requirements, the company says.

Both formulations are completely compatible with all conventional and synthetic oils. Both are fully dexos1 approved and licensed.
