Carter Fuel Systems, a U.S.-based manufacturer of complete fuel system solutions, announced the introduction of 11 new part numbers including nine fuel pump module assemblies, one electric fuel pump and one fuel tank sending unit (reclassified from fuel pump module assembly).
Extending coverage to more than 5 million additional passenger vehicles, the new part numbers fit the following models with model years as early as 1997 through 2014: Buick Verano, Chevrolet Cruze, Chevrolet Impala, Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Monte Carlo, Chevrolet Silverado, Dodge Journey, Ford F-250, Ford F-350, Ford F-450, GMC Sierra, Infiniti G25, Infiniti G37, Infiniti M35, Infiniti M45, Lexus ES350, Lexus RX350, Pontiac G6, Saturn Aura, Toyota Avalon, Toyota Camry, Toyota Matrix and Toyota RAV4.
As electrical issues are the leading cause of a fuel pump malfunction, Carter also offers the patented CV1000 Circuit Verifier diagnostic tool, which allows the technician to conduct a comprehensive fuel pump circuit test in order to determine if a vehicle’s electrical system is malfunctioning. The CV1000 reduces labor and replacements costs by identifying whether the problem is electrical or mechanical in a matter of seconds, according to Carter.
