Standard Motor Products Releases 220 New Parts From TechSmart Brand

The release increases new coverage through 2015 for an additional 118 million vehicles in operation.

TechSmart - ProductStandard Motor Products Inc. (SMP) has announced the addition of 220 new part numbers to its TechSmart line. The release increases new coverage through 2015 for an additional 118 million vehicles in operation (VIO).

TechSmart continued to expand its electronic throttle body category by adding 50 new parts. In total, TechSmart’s line now features more than 130 direct-replacement units covering more than 65 million VIO. Other key category additions included 40 new sensors, 30 new variable valve timing (VVT) components and 25 new high-intensity discharge headlight ballasts.

TechSmart is positioned as a key supplier of problem-solving parts, complete kits and new technologies that are designed to make technicians’ jobs easier. Examples include a horizontal fuel conditioning module for Ford 6.0L diesel Powerstroke engines; a line of direct-replacement windshield wiper linkages for Hyundai and Kia; and an automatic transmission shift cover, a new product category that allows technicians to replace only the cracked or broken chrome piece instead of the entire park position indicator, according to SMP.

Phil Hutchens, vice president engine management marketing, SMP, noted, “From day one, TechSmart has been committed to making technicians’ jobs easier. With these latest releases, we believe we’re as committed as ever to engineering parts that help technicians solve the tough problems they encounter in the bay.”

All new applications are listed in the eCatalog found at techsmartparts.com and in electronic catalog providers.
