ZF Aftermarket Brand Growth Drives North American Sales Team Expansion

Two new sales roles have been created in North America to capitalize on ZF Aftermarket brand portfolio opportunities.

ZF Aftermarket has announced the appointment of two newly created sales roles.

Richard Odom will assume the role of regional manager for the South and will be based in Montgomery, Alabama. He also will manage and nurture the company’s relationships with the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Automotive Distribution Network and National Pronto Association groups.

Matthew McCoy will take on the position of regional manager for the West, and will be based in San Diego. Both appointments will report to Mark Thorpe, ZF Aftermarket, director of sales, United States and Canada, and are effective immediately. ZF says the new appointments will ensure that the market can further benefit from access to ZF Aftermarket’s leading brand portfolio.

“Our aftermarket business in North America is growing rapidly. To ensure we are well-placed to meet the ever-changing needs of our expanding customer base and growing product portfolio, we are further building on our experienced and successful team,” said Thorpe.

“Our two new team members have been carefully chosen for their ability to best support the business and our customers. Each brings to the table a wealth of skills, and experience and we wish them all the best in their new roles.”

With more than 35 years industry experience, Odom joins the ZF Aftermarket team from his last position as program group and retail business development manager at MAHLE, a business he had worked at for 26 years.

As regional manager for the South, Odom is tasked with maintaining current relationships and introducing existing and new customers to the many benefits of ZF Aftermarket’s brand portfolio. He also will be responsible for nurturing the growing relationships with central buying groups: Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance; Automotive Distribution Network and National Pronto Association.

As regional manager for the West, McCoy will work closely with distributors and sales representatives to ensure continued sales growth. With experience gained across the fields of customer service, sales and marketing, McCoy joins ZF Aftermarket from his most recent sales position with Pacific Marketing.

“I am confident that Richard and Matthew will be valuable additions to our North American team,” said Thorpe. “Their combined industry experience, knowledge and skill set of how to manage the different customer sectors, as well as familiarity with our global business, aftermarket portfolio and customer base will prove invaluable as we continue the ZF Aftermarket success story across North America.”
