ZC Rubber Wins Second Prize At Global Internet Competition

ZC wins with its project: ZC Rubber - 5G + Smart Collaborative Digital Factory.

On Sept. 28, Zhongce Rubber Group (ZC Rubber) won the second prize of the 2021 “Straight to Wuzhen” Global Internet Competition with its project ZC Rubber – 5G + Smart Collaborative Digital Factory. 

ZC Rubber uses 5G technology to promote data network platform innovation and data-driven production process reengineering. The company has enhanced core competitiveness and corporate value through network collaboration, flexible production and service extension and has created a replicable 5G+ smart collaborative digital factory platform for the tire industry.

At the competition meeting, Shen Jinrong, chairman of Zhongce Rubber Group, proposed to promote the transformation of data transmission, processing and utilization with the 5G low-latency advantages and to promote the technological revolution with digitization.

Compared with traditional factories, ZC Rubber’s 5G Smart Factory has achieved a 50% reduction in the product development cycle, a 15% increase in production efficiency, a 40% reduction in product defect rate, a 40% reduction in loss rate, and a 5% reduction in energy consumption. In addition, the 5G Smart Factory has changed the original labor-intensive model, and the number of operators has decreased by about 70% compared with traditional factories.

As one of the essential sections of the World Internet Conference, the “Straight to Wuzhen” Global Internet Competition is an international event that focuses on the digital economy and runs throughout the year. The competition promotes the establishment of international Internet projects and talent sharing, collaboration, and innovation by exploring new technologies and business modes.

This year’s “Straight to Wuzhen” Global Internet Competition, despite the pandemic hindering physical distance, still attracted 1,012 projects from 19 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and France, including 180 overseas projects, and the number of Chinese and foreign projects both reached a record high. In the finals on September 26, the 5G + Smart Collaborative Digital Factory project brought by ZC Rubber was widely praised and won second prize.
