The Women’s Industry Network (WIN) is now accepting applications for seats on the organization’s board of directors. The WIN Board consists of members who represent various industry segments including but not limited to: collision shops, jobbers, suppliers, consultants, paint manufacturers, recyclers and insurance companies. Applicants are welcome from all segments and the only requirement is that applicants be a current WIN member in good standing.
Board members work together to foster an environment that encourages the education, recruitment, retention and networking of women in the collision industry through the annual WIN Educational Conference and various national and regional industry events; the awarding of scholarships to female secondary and post-secondary collision repair students; the annual awarding of Most Influential Women awards and other supportive endeavors throughout the year. The direction of these programs is decided during monthly board conference calls and two in-person strategic planning sessions. Board members also are active participants in at least one WIN committee.
“Being a part of the WIN board is an outstanding way to shape the future of the collision repair industry,” said Petra Schroeder, WIN vice chair and co-chair of the board development/nominating committee. “Participation allows members to not only contribute to the growth of the WIN organization, but also to contribute to their personal growth through leadership skills and industry relationships.”
The 2016 term will begin for all new board members at the WIN Educational Conference on May 2-4 in Tampa, Florida, during which a new board member orientation also will take place.
The deadline for applications is Feb. 29. For application requirements and further details, go to thewomensindustrynetwork.ning.com/page/join-the-board. Completed applications should be emailed as a PDF to Petra Schroeder at [email protected] and Jessica Rob at [email protected].
