Women’s Industry Network (WIN) presents the Cornerstone Award each year to deserving WIN board members. The award is given in honor of the winner’s actions and contributions demonstrating the outstanding commitment to WIN’s mission and vision. These leaders also set a high example for others to follow. This year, WIN Chair Michelle Sullivan awarded two board members with the Cornerstone Award: Petra Schroeder and Cheryl Boswell.
Schroeder, who is a past WIN Chair, has been instrumental in the leadership of WIN. Her dedication and passion for WIN has been nothing short of remarkable, the group says. She served on the WIN executive committee in various roles and, served in a leadership capacity on many committees, such as Industry Outreach and Sponsorship.
Boswell, who is the incoming WIN chair, was crucial in setting up procedures for WIN’s financial transactions and creating an investment strategy for the organization. Being active on numerous committees, she co-chairs the Finance committee and is involved on the Most Influential Woman (MIW) award committee.
“This award defines what it means to be an outstanding member and leader of WIN,” said WIN Chair Sullivan. “Cheryl and Petra’s actions and contributions have created a great example for future board members and leaders in our organization and we are very proud that they are a part of WIN.”
