GASTONIA, NC — WIX Filters has launched two new promotions for collectors. An exclusive NASCAR Performance Product, WIX is launching the WIX #1 Fan Bobblehead Promotion designed to help spread the excitement of America’s fastest-growing sport to consumers.

This fall, fans will receive a WIX #1 Fan Bobblehead free with the purchase of WIX premium oil and air filters. Auto parts stores can order their WIX bobbleheads during the February 1 – March 15 pre-sell period and will receive their shipment in July, just in time for the promotional kick-off in August.

“NASCAR fans are the most loyal fans in sports, as well as loyal customers for WIX Filters,” said Bruce Johnston, brand manager for WIX Filtration Products. “This promotion blends WIX premium product, our relationship with Joe Gibbs Racing, our status as the No. 1 filter in NASCAR and our designation as an exclusive NASCAR performance product.”

In addition, WIX Filters will support this promotional consumer offer by providing free point-of-sale posters, counter cards, ad slicks, radio scripts and price stickers for participating locations.

WIX is also unveiling the latest in its series of die-cast collectibles, celebrating the joint achievements of both Ford and WIX.

The 1956 Ford Thunderbird, with its long, sleek look, futuristic features and powerful engine was considered a “better idea” in its time. In addition to its perfect blend of beauty and brawn, it also contained an automobile industry revolution – the first “spin-on” oil filter, created by WIX Filters.

This 1:24 limited edition authentic die-cast features a red interior and exterior along with a removable hard top roof, which changes the replica into a convertible. The hood opens to reveal a detailed engine, which features a WIX Filter.

Auto parts stores can order their WIX Filters die-cast collectibles during the February 1 – March 15 pre-sell period. From October 1 through December 31, with the purchase of two WIX Filters and a minimal cost, customers can drive away with this classic limited-time offer.
