Watching her father fix cars when she was growing up, Stacey Miller says she always wanted to go into automotive. But that’s not where she started.

“I might be one of your more unique nominees because I didn’t come from automotive and I didn’t come from an association. I did 10 years at a PR software company. I loved it, but I had just always wanted to be in automotive pretty much my whole career. So, when this opportunity came up, it was just a no-brainer for me. My passion, my No. 1 hobby throughout my life growing up was cars,” she says.

Her love of cars may have led her to her role at the Auto Care Association. However, it was her experience in PR and tech that has given her the right tools to create a strong communications team.

“Being able to be really agile with that team, especially in a time like we’re living in now, is a huge accomplishment to me,” she says. “As a PR professional, you have to be able to mobilize quickly, get all your messages straight to communicate those to the right people at the right time. I think that’s something that I was able to bring here and to implement, which I’m so thrilled to be able to do.”
