Even though Meagan Moody grew up surrounded by aftermarket professionals, she never thought she would contribute to the field. Unintentionally, she followed the footsteps of her family members and continues to shape the aftermarket industry.
Passing down the passion, just as her mentors had done for her, Moody’s greatest accomplishment is acting as a guide for her current employees and inspiring enthusiasm for the aftermarket. One achievement or one specific moment did not capture her appreciation for the field quite like the feeling of returning the favor.
“Don’t be scared of the industry,” Moody said. “Most people here would love to share what they know. It is so easy to find mentors and leaders who can help guide you in the right direction.”
Talking to people has helped Moody make endless connections and establish relationships with educated professionals. Getting involved and fighting the fear of shyness lead to her confidence and capabilities she now possesses as marketing and communications manager.
“It can be an intimidating industry to navigate. Everyone knows so much,” Moody said. “This industry, however, wants to see everyone succeed and as long as you’re willing to apply yourself and meet new people, you will.” Seeing more and more women be recognized for their impact to the aftermarket industry acts as encouragement for Moody to continue her hard work and maintain her dedication to her work, she says.
