2022 Honoree

Kellye Rader

Headquarters Relationship Manager
Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance, Inc.

What is the proudest accomplishment of your career, thus far?

Besides this wonderfully surprising nomination, it would be helping our employees and the Auto Value and Bumper to Bumper shareholders throughout the pandemic. It was a scary and confusing time for everyone, and I am proud of the excellent communication and high company moral we were able to maintain during a very difficult time.

How did you begin your career in the aftermarket?

I started working for the Alliance more than 10 years ago as the executive assistant to our President and CEO, Mr. John R. Washbish.  It’s a role I still hold in addition to my human resources responsibilities.

What is your best advice to other women who want to excel in the automotive aftermarket?

Embrace your unique talents and perspective.

What do you believe are some of the most important skillsets to excel in a career in the aftermarket today?

Communication and a positive attitude are key. My father was a Collegiate Speech professor and taught me from an early age that the importance of effective communication cannot be underestimated.
