Putting her heart into every task has taken Donna Snyder, VP of Marketing and Advertising, to East Penn and beyond in the aftermarket industry.
Her contributions to the field and dedication to her work have likewise inspired other young professionals to put their talents and knowledge to use within the industry. “At that time, I was looking for a job that would utilize my skill set and was open to any industry. What I thought was to be a ‘first’ of many jobs turned out to be a lifetime career. During my 37 years at East Penn, I grew to understand and fully appreciate the impact that the automotive aftermarket has on our economy and the importance of this industry as being essential to our everyday lives and our mobility,” Snyder said.
“It has been a pleasure to work in the aftermarket industry and with the high caliber of men and women many who have also dedicated their careers to this industry,” she added. Continuously looking for ways to improve or recognizing opportunities for growth is among the best advice Snyder can give to anyone in the industry. While at times it can be intimidating, speaking up and using your voice are essential for success.
“The industry has come a long way since I started. Women were anomalies in a very male-dominated industry,” Snyder said. “Now, there are opportunities to engage with other women and share stories and experiences.”
