Ashley Waller

Owner, Technician
Elite European LLC

If you’re going to learn how to work on luxury vehicles, you might as well do it in the mecca of luxury itself: Beverly Hills.

Ashley Waller, owner and operator of Elite European LLC in Jasper, Georgia, says she always liked “muscle cars and flashy sports cars.” But it wasn’t until she moved to California and enrolled in the automotive program at WyoTech in Long Beach that she fell in love with the automotive industry. After graduating, she learned how to do the basics (brakes, tires, oil services) while working at a Firestone Complete Auto Care center. Then she got called up to the luxury big leagues – Ferrari Beverly Hills – where Waller honed her skills and went on to become the first female certified automotive technician for the Ferrari and Maserati brands.

Waller says she owes a huge debt of gratitude to her employers and co-workers at Ferrari Beverly Hills and the Auto Gallery Beverly Hills.

“They took me under their wing,” Waller says. “They didn’t want to see me fail, which was a huge vote of encouragement, and I knew I could ask questions without getting funny looks. They’re special guys.”

Waller moved back to Georgia in 2014, opening Elite European – a six-bay shop specializing in luxury vehicles – two years later. Her advice to women in the
aftermarket is: “Surround yourself with experience and people you can learn from.”

“Just like an athlete, you’re not going to get better until you work with people who can challenge you.”
