Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum Unveils New Interactive Web Site

The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum has launched a new interactive Web site -- http://museum.nhra.com -- designed to give visitors a history of motorsports as well as information on museum programs and events.

POMONA, CA — The Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum has launched a new interactive Web site — http://museum.nhra.com — designed to give visitors a history of motorsports as well as information on museum programs and events.

The site features a virtual tour of the museum, the latest news about museum-produced events — including the Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion and the NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion presented by the Automobile Club of Southern California — plus a photo gallery and a Museum store. Brent Friar of the National Hot Rod Association designed the site.

“We previewed our site extensively before making it available to the public,” said Sam Jackson, executive director of the Parks Museum. “We wanted to be sure our valued guests and supporters would have a great, entertaining experience online and be able to find what they need easily. We plan to update it regularly and keep it vital and interesting.”

Named for the founder of the National Hot Rod Association, the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum houses the very roots of hot rodding. Scores of famous vehicles spanning American motorsports history are on display, including winning cars representing 50 years of drag racing, dry lakes and salt-flat racers, oval track challengers and exhibits describing their colorful backgrounds.
