WAI Acquires National Components Parts Ltd.

Wetherill Associates Inc. (WAI) has acquired National Component Parts Ltd. (NCP). NCP, headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is a distributor of automotive, heavy duty and bus rotating electrical components and complete units. NCP services customers in Canada, the United States and internationally.

ROYERSFORD, Pa. — Wetherill Associates Inc. (WAI) has acquired National Component Parts Ltd. (NCP). NCP, headquartered in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, is a distributor of automotive, heavy duty and bus rotating electrical components and complete units. NCP services customers in Canada, the United States and internationally.

Commenting on the acquisition, Jeff Sween, president and chief executive officer of WAI said, “We are very excited about this opportunity to strengthen our leadership position in the rotating electrical market with the addition of National Component Parts. WAI is constantly looking for ways to enhance our value proposition to our customers, and we believe the addition of NCP will provide more opportunities to achieve this goal.”

WAI manufactures and distributes starters, alternators and components for automotive, industrial, heavy duty and agricultural applications under its WAI, Transpo and WPS brands. WAI is also a global manufacturer/distributor of premium quality engine management electronics, mass air flow sensors and ignition distributors sold under its WPS brand as well as private label.
