VAN BUREN TOWNSHIP, MI — John Donofrio has been appointed senior vice president and general counsel for Visteon, effective June 13. Donofrio joins Visteon from Honeywell, where he was vice president and general counsel of Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, Ariz. As an elected corporate officer of Visteon, Donofrio will report to CEO and Chairman-elect Mike Johnston.

Donofrio joined Honeywell in 1996 as associate general counsel. After two years in this role he was promoted to deputy general counsel, working extensively on behalf of the company’s automotive business. Before joining Honeywell, Donofrio spent seven years with the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis in Washington, D.C., and New York, the last three as partner. In this role he represented major corporate clients worldwide and worked extensively with vehicle manufacturers. He began his career as a law clerk in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
