Mauro Cifelli Named Distinguished Service Award Winner

Cifelli, president and CEO of Vast Auto, currently serves as treasurer of the Alliance's board of directors.

The Automotive Industries Association (AIA) of Canada has announced Mauro Cifelli, president and CEO of Vast Auto Distribution, as its 2021 Distinguished Service Award winner. The honor is AIA Canada’s highest award, presented annually to an outstanding individual within association membership.

“Mauro is an incredible industry leader and a fantastic selection for this distinguished honor,” said Joey Miceli, chief operating officer at Vast. “Mauro is very quick to praise and recognize others. We are very proud to see him receiving this recognition.”

The AIA Distinguished Service Award is presented in recognition of distinguished service and outstanding leadership given to the growth and development of Canada’s automotive aftermarket industry. Criteria for the award include outstanding leadership, community service, and personal contribution to the growth and progress of the aftermarket.

Since joining Vast in 1994, Cifelli has played a pivotal role within the organization. He is also actively involved in the industry. He formerly served as chairman of the Automotive Warehouse Distributors Association and currently serves as treasurer of the Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance Inc.’s Board of Directors.

“Congratulations to Mauro on a job well done,” said John R. Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance. “Mauro is a respected aftermarket leader for good reason. We are thrilled to see this prestigious award go to such a deserving candidate.”

In addition to his involvement with AWDA and the Alliance, Cifelli has also served as the chairman of AIA Canada at both the provincial and national level.
