UCI Board Announces Industry Veteran As New CEO For ASC/Airtex

The board announced the resignation of Brett McBrayer as ASC/Airtex CEO and the corresponding appointment of longtime industry veteran Dave Peace to the same position.

UCI International Holdings Inc. (UCI), the parent company of ASC water pumps, Airtex fuel pumps and Champion Labs filters, announced the resignation of Brett McBrayer as ASC/Airtex CEO and the corresponding appointment of longtime industry veteran Dave Peace to the same position. Peace will take over as CEO of ASC and Airtex effective April 30.

Peace is a tenured senior aftermarket executive whose most recent position was president and chief operating officer of Wells Vehicle Electronics, a division of NGK Spark Plugs. He has run Wells since 2007 and led the successful sale by UCI to NGK in 2015. Prior to running Wells, Peace held senior executive leadership positions at Qualitor, Jordan Industries and Visteon Corp.

“I am thrilled that Dave Peace is rejoining UCI to lead both ASC and Airtex. He has a long and successful track record not only at Wells but in his entire professional career. I have personally known Dave for many years and his professionalism, dedication to customers and ability to build his team is second to none” said Chairman of the Board Michael Klein. “I also want to thank Brett McBrayer for all of his efforts on behalf of ASC and Airtex and wish him well in his future endeavors.”

“I joined UCI originally because I wanted to be part of a company where I believed there were opportunities for great success,” said Peace. “Today, I feel the same way and I’m proud to rejoin UCI to lead ASC and Airtex. Our focus will be a fierce commitment to our customers. And we’ll be equally dedicated to continuing to build and manage our team to provide best-in-class products and services worldwide.”
