TruStar Member Selects Autopart By MAM Software

MAM Software Inc. has announced that Brown Distributing Co. has selected MAM Software’s Autopart software solution to replace its existing business system. After evaluating leading aftermarket software solutions, Brown Distributing chose Autopart, MAM Software’s business management solution for parts distribution.

Brown Distributing Co/ is a full-line automotive warehouse with distribution centers currently in Mishawaka and Elkhart, Indiana. A third-generation family owned company, Brown Distributing has been serving the Michiana area since 1958. As an active member of the TruStar group, Brown Distributing strives to provide its customers with the right part for the right price in an “old school” business environment.

“We believe that to stay competitive in the market, improving business processes and increasing efficiencies is a requirement,” said Gil Brown, president of Brown Distributing Co. “We felt that to grow our company and raise our level of efficiency it was time to update our core business system and take advantage of the latest technology. After a careful evaluation; we selected Autopart.”

Autopart will provide Brown Distributing with point-of-sale, inventory management, forecasting, purchasing, reporting and accounting for its operation. It will allow them clear visibility across both locations and enable them to easily move parts between them; making sure that the parts are where they are most needed.
