ROCHESTER HILLS, Mich. — TRICO Products, manufacturer of wiper blades and systems, has announced the appointment of Kevin O’Dowd as global director of marketing, corporate branding and strategy. In this position, O’Dowd will assume responsibility for worldwide branding, product positioning, marketing, advertising and public relations. He will report to Brian Norko, vice president of sales and marketing-aftermarket.
O’Dowd was most recently group manager for North American Aftermarket Brands at Federal-Mogul, where he directed global brand positioning, global marketing and strategic brand planning. He was also responsible for Undercar and Service Marketing (brands such as Wagner, Champion, ANCO) and Commercial Vehicle Marketing. During his tenure, O’Dowd launched 12 national sales-generating promotions and implemented campaigns in Mexico, Europe and China.
Prior to Federal-Mogul, O’Dowd held executive positions at Mullen Advertising, McCann-Erickson WorldGroup, Campbell-Ewald Advertising, Campbell-Mithun-Esty Advertising, Cato Johnson and Young & Rubicam Advertising. He has more than 18 years of advertising, marketing and brand strategic planning for the auto industry covering North America and Europe.

O’Dowd graduated from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Mich., with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. His major was marketing with a minor in finance.
