The U.S. Treasury announced yesterday that it will provide an additional $5.4 billion in loans to General Motors Corp., as part of the $13.4 bill rescue package announced in Mid-December.
According to a report from the Detroit Free Press, GM will receive the second loan on Jan. 16. It is in addition to a $4 billion loan issued last week.
