As the U.S. auto industry tries to adjust to the dramatic decline in vehicle sales, Toyota announced that it will delay the start of production at its new Prius plant in Blue Springs, Miss.
According to a report from the Associated Press (AP), the plant was scheduled to begin production in 2010. The building is about 90 percent complete at this time, and will be finished, according to a Toyota spokesman. However, installation of machinery and equipment is being delayed indefinitely, said the AP report.
