Tower Automotive Inc. earned $12 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $781.2 million in the first quarter. The Novi maker of stamped automobile parts earned $11.57 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $732.57 million in the same period of 2003.

NOVI — Tower Automotive Inc. earned $12 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $781.2 million in the first quarter. The Novi maker of stamped automobile parts earned $11.57 million, or 21 cents per share, on revenue of $732.57 million in the same period of 2003.

The earnings increase was due to certain items such as divestiture gains of $9.7 million, after tax and net restructuring income of $3.7 million after taxes.
