Total Lubrifiants And Temot International Announce Distribution Partnership

In addition to gaining access to independent garages and covering new geographical areas, the partnership enables Total to offer its product ranges to not only the automotive market, but also to the heavy-duty vehicle market.

Total Lubrifiants and Temot, a global automotive parts and accessories purchasing company, have announced a new partnership agreement. This three-year strategic partnership began in 2017 and provides customers around the world with access to Total’s complete range of lubricants.

Temot is a strategic value-added network operating in the automotive accessories industry, employing more than 35,000 people and collaborating with 20,000 garages under different banners. Founded in 1994, Temot has since expanded into 63 countries on four continents. The group generates aggregate total revenue sales of more than 10 billion euros (approximately $12 billion USD).

Thanks to this partnership, Total is expanding its network with its entire product line being available to many new local distributors. Going forward, the 20,000 garages in Temot’s network will now have access to oils developed by Total Lubricants, whose performance and ability to protect engines of all types are unrivaled and now considered the benchmark.

“We are delighted with this partnership with Temot. By becoming a fully referenced supplier, Total is covering an even wider area, moving closer to distributors and becoming a local partner,” said Thierry Gourault, managing director for automotive at Total Lubricants. “The logistics implemented by Temot enables the automotive accessories industry to display growth that will benefit Total by targeting distributors, including the smallest ones.”

In addition to gaining access to independent garages and covering new geographical areas, this partnership enables Total to offer its product ranges to not only the automotive market, but also to the heavy-duty vehicle market.

“By partnering with major distributors, Total is cementing its position as a premium supplier of engine lubricants by providing our entire product range,” added Gourault.

Fotios Katsardis, president and CEO of TEMOT International, said, “We are delighted by the partnership with Total, one of the largest players in the lubricants market. Our shareholders, [in] both light- and heavy-duty vehicles, present on all continents, will thus benefit from its strong global presence.”
