U.S. Auto Parts Network recently announced it would open a new 210,000-square-foot distribution center in Grand Prairie, Texas. The distribution center, slated to begin operations in late 2020, will create a minimum of 150 new jobs and $10 million in economic impact in its first 18 months alone. When operational, the facility will deliver new parts to customers across the South and Southwest servicing all of the brands U.S. Auto Parts Network has to offer, including CarParts.com and JC Whitney.

SRS Marketing Co. and colleagues of Jim Shapiro, 65, are mourning his loss. Shapiro, president of SRS Marketing Co., passed away in his home early Friday morning, May 29, surrounded by his family. Jim joined his father, Malcom Shapiro, as a manufacturers’ representative at Shapiro and Boehm at the age of 22 and took the company over when Malcom passed. SRS Marketing was established in 1996 when Shapiro and Boehm merged with Robert Riefberg Sales, where Jim served as president alongside his partners Robert Riefberg and Bob Slemmer until his passing.
