TIA Reaches Membership Milestone

The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has reached a new milestone as its membership has grown to 5,113 members. TIA membership climbed over the 5,000 mark with the addition of the Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG). With headquarters in Juno, Fla., ITDG is a marketing group comprised of 90 independent tire and wheel dealers. ITDG has 260 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Hawaii.

BOWIE, MD — The Tire Industry Association (TIA) has reached a new milestone as its membership has grown to 5,113 members. TIA membership climbed over the 5,000 mark with the addition of the Independent Tire Dealers Group (ITDG). With headquarters in Juno, Fla., ITDG is a marketing group comprised of 90 independent tire and wheel dealers. ITDG has 260 locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Colorado, Montana, New Mexico and Hawaii.

“We were very impressed with the many contributions TIA is making to better the tire industry,” said Michael Cox, president of ITDG. “We felt it was our responsibility to the tire industry to join TIA and support their efforts. We are very excited about the invaluable services TIA can provide our group in the area of training and legislative issues. TIA offers the best training programs we have seen in the industry.”

TIA has experienced rapid membership growth over the past year, with 1,700 new members since March 2003. “We are very proud to report this membership milestone,” said TIA Executive Vice President, Roy Littlefield. “We are even more pleased that ITDG was the group that helped us reach this milestone. ITDG has an impressive group of members who are truly dedicated to the advancement of the tire industry.”
