BETHESDA, MD — The governors of Nebraska, South Carolina and Wisconsin recently signed state proclamations, officially declaring April 2004 as being National Car Care Month, according to the Car Care Council.
The proclamations urge all motorists to “Be Car Care Aware” by inspecting their vehicles and performing maintenance necessary to ensure their vehicle is operating in a safe, efficient and clean manner.
“These proclamations show how important the “Be Car Care Aware” campaign and National Car Care Month have become throughout the country in raising consumer awareness about the benefits of regular vehicle care, maintenance and repair,” said Rich White, executive director of the Car Care Council. “More and more state and local governments are realizing the impact that unperformed vehicle maintenance is having on the economy, the environment and on vehicle and highway safety.”
