Three Dayco Facilities Earn GM Supplier Quality Awards

Manufacturing facilities in the U.S., Mexico and India, were recognized.

Dayco, a leading engine products and drive systems manufacturer for the automotive, heavy-duty and industrial market segments, has been awarded General Motors “Supplier Quality Excellence Award 2020” for its outstanding performance in the year 2020. The award recognizes Dayco’s manufacturing sites in Mt. Pleasant, USA, San Luis Potosi (SLP), Mexico, and Manesar, India. This marks the second consecutive year that Dayco has been presented with the prominent honor of delivering high-quality products to General Motors (GM).

Selected by GM’s global teams, the award-winning suppliers have distinguished themselves by exceeding GM’s requirements with a very stringent set of quality performance criteria, in turn providing GM with innovative technologies and the highest quality in the automotive industry.

Throughout the challenging year 2020, Dayco has been at the forefront to deliver high-quality solutions supporting GM’s vision of working together towards a future with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion for a sustainable and safe tomorrow.

“For Dayco, winning this prestigious quality award for its USA, Mexico, and India facilities for the second consecutive year is the recognition for a long-term, cohesive and innovative partnership. It’s based on seamless professional excellence and the global supply of premium quality products to General Motors for engine and drive systems. I congratulate the whole Dayco team who worked diligently in these unprecedented times, not allowing any compromise on quality, to achieve accolades from valued customers like General Motors and support the automotive revolution,” said Michael Weiss, president, Global Hybrid Solutions at Dayco.

“At Dayco, “Move forward, Always” is forever at the core of whatever we do, and with 100-plus years of customer trust, we have been consistently delivering world-class products, meeting industry standards and bringing futuristic technological advancements that safeguard the environment and reduce emissions,” Weiss added.
