IRVING, TX — Professional services firm Thomas Group has named James “Jim” Taylor CEO and president of the company, effective Jan. 13.
Taylor succeeds John Hamann as CEO. For the last three years, Taylor has served as Thomas Group’s executive vice president and CFO. He has been credited for successfully returning Thomas Group to profitability following the 2001 consulting industry downturn and global recession. Taylor will remain CFO on an interim basis while assuming his new responsibilities.
Taylor has spent more than 30 years in the consulting industry and in operations management. He began his career at Coopers and Lybrand and while partner there, led the southwest region’s mergers and acquisitions group. He owned and led seven other companies, including his own start-up businesses.
Beginning in January 2004, Thomas Group will sponsor a new feature on aftermarketNews.com (AMN) called “AMN Perspectives by Thomas Group.” Read our exclusive Executive Interview with Taylor on Monday, Feb. 2.
