MEMA President and CEO Bill Long addressed the annual meeting held by Industria Nacional de Autopartes, A.C., an automotive and auto part manufacturer advocacy group in Mexico, part of the activities scheduled during INA PAACE Automechanika in Mexico City this week.

Federated member Parts Distributing Inc. (PDI) of Milwaukee hosted another successful “Get Dirty with Kenny” event on June 18 at the Beaver Dam Raceway in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.
In addition to the racing experience with Schrader, this year’s event also featured a table-top mini-show where PDI’s customers could interact with multiple vendors after the racing. PDI customers were also able to leave with goodie bags from each vendor and get some great time with each vendor to discuss products and the great brands that help separate PDI and Federated from the competition.
Federated member Canusa and its Auto Parts Centres (APC) hosted racing legend Kenny Schrader last month for four days of “Get Dirty with Kenny” events at four different race tracks in Ontario, Canada. Seventy-five customers plus APC staff enjoyed learning how to race from the always entertaining “King of Dirt.”

“Our customers had great time with Kenny and his team,” said Luke Ramsey, director of marketing for Canusa. “Kenny did a great job interacting with the customers and made it a special day for everyone who attended. We already have customers asking about next year because word has spread about what a great day it was.”

CARSTAR has announced that its stores from across the U.S. and Canada held their annual charity walk in support of cystic fibrosis research, care and advocacy at the CARSTAR Acceleration 2019 Conference in Chicago.
