The Group To Host Annual Member Meeting in Texas

With a theme of “Meeting the Challenge,” the in-person conference will be held April 25-28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort.

Members of the Automotive Parts Services Group (The Group), along with supplier partners and associates, will convene in Texas for The Group’s annual member meeting and expo. With a theme of “Meeting the Challenge,” the in-person conference will be held April 25-28 at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine.

“For the first time ever, members from AutoPride, Federated, Parts Plus and Pronto will meet under one roof,” said Larry Pavey, CEO of The Group. “By bringing together members of Federated and The Pronto Network to meet with suppliers and other stakeholders, our upcoming annual meeting will be the largest assembly of aftermarket companies and suppliers in our history.”

One of the conference highlights will be one-on-one sessions held between members of The Group and supplier partners. Also on the agenda are informative panels, industry updates, breakout sessions and individual marketing seminars for each banner-marketing brand. A vendor expo also will be held during the conference.

“After meeting virtually for the past two years, we are excited to meet in person as one unified group,” continued Pavey. “This year’s conference and expo will not only be a celebration of collaboration and continued growth, but also an ideal time to plan and prepare for ‘meeting the challenges’ ahead.”

Do you speak spark plug? Most part numbers are a meaningless series of numbers and letters. But spark plugs have a language on the side of the box that can tell you what’s inside. Like any other language, there are dialects.

The nomenclature of spark plug part numbers can tell you everything from size (diameter and reach) to what materials are on the center and ground electrode. Like learning a new language, knowing how to translate spark plug numbers can open up a new way to inventory and sell spark plugs for counter professionals.
