MONROE, MI — Tenneco Automotive is promoting an expanded product guarantee program for 2004. Tenneco is now featuring limited lifetime warranties and a 90-day risk-free trial offer on premium Walker exhaust, Monroe shock and strut, DynoMax performance exhaust and Rancho off-road technologies.

The new strategy will also enable aftermarket businesses to enhance bottom-line results while significantly increasing customer satisfaction and loyalty, according to Tenneco Automotive Vice President of Marketing Richard Alameddine.

“Today’s drivers embrace premium-level products when those products offer clear and meaningful ownership advantages,” Alameddine said. “Our research, including extensive customer input, shows that limited lifetime warranties and risk-free trial periods make a huge difference at the point of sale. We’re committed to being the industry leader in this respect.”

The company’s expanded guarantee program includes limited lifetime warranties on Walker Quiet-Flow mufflers and muffler assemblies; Monroe Reflex, Sensa-Trac and Gas-Magnum shocks and struts; DynoMax Ultra Flo SS, Ultra Flo Welded and Super Turbo performance mufflers; and Rancho RS9000X and RSX performance shock absorbers.

In addition to the free limited lifetime warranty, the program includes a 90-day risk-free money-back offer covering each specified premium product, plus up to $50 in labor charges per axle or exhaust system.

“Some aftermarket technicians hesitate to upsell their customers to premium-level technologies because they’re afraid they can’t back up claims of improved performance and durability. Now we’re doing it for them — we’re offering guarantees that the consumer will see, hear, feel and appreciate the differences represented in each of our premium products,” Alameddine said.
