Tenneco Expands Coverage, Production of Popular Monroe Quick-Strut Assemblies

The expansion comes as customer demand for Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies continues to rise.

LAS VEGAS – Tenneco has announced it will expand its popular Monroe Quick-Strut replacement strut assembly product line for the sixth consecutive year in 2009 by introducing 16 new part numbers. The new parts increase the Monroe Quick-Strut product line to a total of 115 SKUs.

The expansion comes as customer demand for Monroe Quick-Strut assemblies continues to rise. During the first 10 months of 2008, demand increased 76 percent, leading Tenneco to expand its production capacity and invest in a fifth dedicated manufacturing cell at its Paragould, Ark., facility.

“Demand has continued to be off the charts as more and more repair shops have experienced the quality, customer satisfaction and bottom-line value associated with this innovative product,” said Bill Dennie, director, ride control channel management, North American Aftermarket, Tenneco. “The Monroe Quick-Strut assembly is the proven strut solution for shops that want to deliver OE-style ride and handling while boosting bay productivity.”

Among the new units available next year will be 10 SKUs for light-truck and sport-utility vehicle models. Popular passenger-car applications being added to the line in 2009 include the 2000-05 Buick LeSabre, 1992-94 Toyota Camry, 1991-02 Saturn S Series, and 2001-06 Chrysler PT Cruiser.
