TEMOT International Welcomes Finland’s Motoral Oy As New Shareholder

Motoral Oy, founded in 1958, is headquartered in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The company distributes parts for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and the industrial sector with an emphasis on commercial vehicles.

Finnish distributor Motoral Oy recently joined TEMOT International as a new shareholder. The company is one of Finland’s leading distributors of spare parts for motor vehicles and industrial applications with particular expertise in the field of commercial vehicles. It also operates in Estonia.

Motoral Oy, founded in 1958, is headquartered in the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The company distributes parts for passenger cars, commercial vehicles and the industrial sector with an emphasis on commercial vehicles. In 1995, it set up Motoral Eesti AS, a foreign base in Estonia’s capital of Tallinn, on the opposite side of the Gulf of Finland. The companies’ sales area stretches across both countries and together they employ more than 230 people, have 21,000 square meters of warehouse space at their disposal and keep 40,000 items continuously in stock.

The company is set for further expansion

In spring 2017, Motoral Oy launched Truck Partner in Finland, a chain of professional workshops for the repair and maintenance of commercial vehicles. As of today, 14 workshops have joined the system and the group of companies plans to further expand the network nationwide, adding special heavy-duty repair services as well as spare part companies.

In addition to Motoral Oy and Motoral Eesti AS, the Motoral Group includes Motoplast (Finland), a company specialized in the manufacture of plastic products for the automotive segment, and also VTA Tekniikka Oy (Finland) and VTA Tehnika AS (Estonia) belong to the group. They are specialized in refrigerating equipment and load handling devices.

With this latest addition, TEMOT’s network now comprises 73 shareholders worldwide, 41 of which are specialized in the commercial vehicle sector. This makes TEMOT’s network one of the strongest in the world.

“We are excited to join TEMOT International as a new shareholder. We see many mutual business opportunities and we also believe that our close liaison with TEMOT and its network will benefit all stakeholders,” said Pasi Berggren, CEO of Motoral Oy. “We look forward to meet all the other shareholders and business partners in the coming weeks.”

“Motoral Oy is an exceptionally important player in the Finnish and Estonian markets,” said Fotios Katsardis, president and CEO of TEMOT International. “The company’s growth strategy and its proven market insight make it an auspicious member of our network. We are looking forward to jointly shaping a great future for our common business relationship.”
