TBC Brands Adds To Its Winter Tire Lineup

The new winter tire features wide tread grooves and multiple sipes for enhanced and confident traction in snow and slush compared to its predecessor.

TBC Brands, one of the largest distributors of private brand tires in North America, introduces the successor to the Arctic Claw Winter TXI & XSI, the Arctic Claw Winter WXI, which meets the industry’s severe snow service requirements of both the U.S. Tire Manufacturers Association (USTMA) and the Rubber Association of Canada (RAC) to carry the three-peak mountain snowflake symbol.

The new winter tire features wide tread grooves and multiple sipes for enhanced and confident traction in snow and slush compared to its predecessor. Designed to accept optional metal studs, the WXI provides additional grip and support in freezing rain, sleet and wet ice for drivers of coupes, sedans, CUVs, SUVs and light-duty pickup trucks. The Arctic Claw Winter WXI is available in 91 Metric and LT sizes with rims ranging from 14 inches to 20 inches.

“The Arctic Claw Winter WXI’s three-peak mountain snowflake branding and studdability offer consumers an outstanding level of traction in winter climates,” said Jon Vance, senior vice president of product marketing for TBC Corporation. “With a lineup of more than 90 sizes and a well-recognized brand synonymous with enhanced ice and snow performance, it provides dealers a combination of comprehensive sizing, proven performance and affordability that cannot be undervalued.”
